The objective of the present invention is to solve some of the problems associated with drilling large diameter deep shafts.
The lower outer bar of the present invention is rigid and is attached to the drill tool, a straight hole may be drilled when a drill tool is used that is slightly larger in diameter than the largest cross-section of the lower outer bar. This could not be accomplished with a conventional telescopic kelly bar because the tool attaches to the smaller bar.
